Standards & Certifications
MG battery modules comply with several type approvals and standards. For our latest batteries in marine applications, the RS 230 Marine Battery has achieved Lloyd’s type approval. This type approval consists of several mechanical, thermal and electrical tests and also requires a quality system, audits and functional safety on product level.
LFP 24 V battery modules comply with several standards. ES-Trin regulations IEC-EN 62619 & IEC-EN 62620 for the LFP 280, LFP 24V 230 IP, LFP 304 and LFP 304 SLP are approved. The LFP 230 is IEC-EN 62620 approved and IEC-EN 62619 is in progress.
Several MG products hold a Functional Safety Certificate with SIL-2 (Safety Integrity Level 2) approval under IEC 61508. In addition, the battery modules are tested following the UN38.3 transportation tests for lithium-ion batteries. These standards include safety and performance tests on both cell and module level including the battery management system.
